It's usually spelled "Aria," which is the first name my parents chose and wrote on my cradle in the hospital where I was born. It's an Italian musical term, and both my parents are musical. However, the doctors and nurses, when they read my name, pronounced it wrong MANY times (more like "uh-REE-uh" than "Ahh-Ree-Uh," which is what my parents wanted). Consequently, my parents added the "u" to make it easier to pronounce. You could probably group the name "Auria" with the name "Aria."
